Peter Jon Weeks, Esq.
Experience
Pete Weeks is the District Attorney in Blair County, Pennsylvania. Having sought justice on behalf of the Blair County community since joining the office as an Assistant District Attorney in 2007, Pete has the experience, judgment, and personal integrity necessary to continue serving as District Attorney.
Pete was hired as a dedicated drug prosecutor to combat the growing number of drug and violent crimes in the community. For the next eleven years, Pete focused on prosecuting drug law violations and other drug-related offenses, including crimes of violence such as homicide.
He was promoted to First Assistant District Attorney in January 2018 and became Blair County District Attorney on April 1, 2020, when former District Attorney Rich Consiglio retired.
Pete has personally handled over 3000 cases, including more than 60 trials before a jury. These cases have included thefts, property crimes, assaults, domestic violence, complex drug investigations and drug death investigations, crimes against children, and homicides.
Pete has also partnered with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General as a specially assigned Deputy Attorney General. His prosecutions have yielded criminal convictions for six murder cases including two life
sentences and numerous convictions for homicide, drug and child abuse offenses in excess of twenty years.
Blair County currently has several pending homicide cases, which will require the knowledge and dedication of an experienced prosecutor.
Pete is proud to have served as an Assistant District Attorney and First Assistant District Attorney under Former District Attorney Rich Consiglio. When Attorney Consiglio retired, he trusted Pete to lead the office as
District Attorney, remarking, “He is, I think, the epitome of what a district attorney should be.”
